Framed Oil Painting on Canvas.
Vintage, Very Small Oil Painting on Canvas, Folk Art, Primitive Art, unsigned. English Setter and Irish Red and White Setter in Landscape.
Canvas Board is 5.5" Tall X 7" Wide, Outer dimensions of frame are 6.125" Tall x 7.75" Wide. Back of canvas shows that it has browned with age, so I am guessing the painting could be over 50 years old. Unsigned, undated.
Very difficult to find Irish Red and White Setter dog items, this is a special painting!! Please look to pictures to see the details which are quite well done. This is not by a famous artist, but will definitely enhance any Setter Lover's collection. My opinion is that it should be re-framed in a much more elaborate frame. I bought this painting in a lot of dog paintings, and have left it exactly as I received it, with the intention that it move forward to a permanent home with a Setter person.
