Description
You are bidding on a large, very rare original antique print from an 1870s French illustrated journal.It depicts a beautiful English Setter hunting dog chasing a rabbit through a flock of grazing sheep. The English Setter is also called the Lawerack, Laverack, Llewellin, Llewellyn Setter.
It is very large (folio size), measuring approximately 10.5 x 14.5 inches (26.5 x 36.5 cm). The picture measures about 8.5 x 5.5 inches, with a French caption below.
The caption reads: il l'aura, il ne l'aura pas? il l'aura, parbleu!
which roughly translates to:
