This filter adapter is in BGN condition with some signs of noticeable wear.
There is a foam padding where the gel filter would sit that is dried out and cracking.
This holder is for the gel type filter and NOT FOR A 39mm SCREW IN FILTER. This goes into a Nikon telephoto lens that uses a rear 39mm filter.
This goes into a Nikon telephoto lens that uses a rear 39mm filter. I don't have a definitive list but many Ai and Ai-S lenses and some AF lenses in the 300mm, 400mm, 500mm, 600mm and 800mm range use this adapter. I have attached a photo of a lens with this adapter for reference.

picture quality.
